Good location, just a couple of blocks away from Union Square, Rent a car just across the street, plenty of restaurants around, food just a little pricey. Transportation is easy, cable car just a few blocks(powell street)

Fisherman's Wharf - try the clam chowder
Pier 39 - check out the sea lions
Golden Gate Bridge - get a great photo of the bridge
Golden Gate Park - stroll around
Science Museum - Great experience for kids, animal facts
Explorotarium - as the word emplies, explore, science, physics..explore your curiousity!
Union Square - shop, window shop
China Town - get a good meal
Alcatraz - have you seen the movie alcatraz? you'll appreciate it more if you did.
Cheesecake factory at the top of Macy's Union square
China town - grab a lunch here.. and find the fortune cookie manufacturer, see how they make it..
